ShutDownGuard - Prevent automatic Windows restart, log off or shutdown

ShutDownGuard is a small portable application that prevents automatic shutdown, restart or log off of Windows. It sits on the tray and runs silently on the background.

Whenever there is an attempt to automatically shutdown or restart Windows, a notification pops up on the tray reporting that there is such an attempt and leaving you option to continue restarting Windows or block the automatic restart so you can do it manually later on. To block the automatic restart you simply ignore the notification. To continue it you have to click the notification.

This application will be useful to avoid interruption while you are downloading a huge file from RapidShare or working on an important document when Windows is suddenly restarted by a program that you’ve just installed
